MOUNTAIN HOME, IDAHO

Mountain Home sets between the Trinity and
Owyhee Mountains, approximately 40 miles
southeast of Boise. Currently Mountain Home has a population over 11,000 and
growing daily
due to new industry and "our" Air Force base. Mountain Home has strong
ties to the base and
their issues are "our" issues. There are many retired
military members that live in our community,
and the city annually celebrates
Mountain Home Air Force Appreciation Day, boasting one of the
largest parades
in the state.

Golfing: Currently there are two courses open to the public in the
area. Mountain Home Public
Golf Course-587-2893 and Vineyard Greens Golf
Course in Glenns Ferry-366-7531.
Mountain Home Air Force Base also has a
course, but is available only to military and their guests.
Movies: Latest releases, information can be obtained by

Bowling: Frontier Lanes. Open and League bowling call 587-4457 for
dates and times.
Hunting and Fishing: There are numerous areas to hunt and fish in
Idaho.
